This role is seeking an experienced Surveyor with a depth and breadth of experience across industry sectors. With the capability to take on responsibility for client-side financial management and contract administration of construction and development projects.
Salary of £50,753 – £ 55,393 with an additional £5,000 market supplement dependant on experience (the role benefits from a £2,900 car allowance).
The role will be responsible for one or more projects, working closely with the Project Manager to support delivery. Coming from an extensive Quantity Surveyor or PQS background, this role will ensure and oversee procurement, management of budgets, cash flow and contract administration, advising on value engineering and having responsibility for tendering and selection of consultants, contractors and suppliers, including drafting agreements.

We have a robust Medium Term Financial Strategy and several exciting development and construction opportunities due to significant external investments into the district. We need someone who can work across departments to help deliver our portfolio of capital projects, and capital financing functions, to help ensure our financial resilience.
This new role will have line management responsibility for the newly established Development Surveyor (trainee) role and will form an integral part of the multi-skilled CDT.
You will report to the Development Strategic Lead, working closely with wider stakeholders, both internally and externally to enable the delivery of our Fit for the Future Programme underpinning our Council Plan.
